Police respond to drive-by shooting

Calgary Police are currently seeking information in relation to a shooting incident.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., on Monday, May 8, 2017, police were called to the area of Centre Street and Memorial Drive N, following reports of shots being fired. On arrival at scene, a vehicle was found with two occupants inside. The vehicle occupants noted that another vehicle drove alongside them while travelling on the Centre Street Bridge upper deck and shots were fired from the vehicle.

No one was injured during the shooting.

Police confirm that the vehicle was shot at and investigators are on scene. At this time, police believe this was a random incident.

The Centre Street Bridge upper deck is currently closed for the investigation.
