Police respond to disturbance in Panorama Hills

One man is in custody following a disturbance in the northwest community of Panorama Hills.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Panamount Circle N.W., for reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police had a brief exchange with residents and the situation escalated. CPS officers retreated from the home and one officer was stabbed in the foot. The officer was transported to hospital with minor injuries, treated and released.

CPS negotiators were brought in to deescalate the situation and communicate with one man who had barricaded himself alone in the home. The situation has since been resolved and one man is currently in custody.

Charges are pending.
