Police investigating suspicious death in Marlborough

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a suspicious death that occurred earlier this evening in the community of Marlborough.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, police were called to the 4600 block of Maryvale Drive N.E., for reports of a man being shot. Police found a man in his 20s deceased at the scene.

Police are currently interviewing a number of witnesses. At this time, the shooting does not appear to be random.

An autopsy is anticipated to occur on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
