Police investigating suspicious death in Crescent Heights

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a suspicious death after a person was found deceased in a park in Crescent Heights.

At approximately 8 a.m., on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, police were called to a forested area near the intersection of Centre Street N. and Samis Road N.E., after a citizen found a body. The Homicide Unit is at the scene and the immediate area will be closed to the public until it has been processed.

The death is considered suspicious and an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. No further information will likely be available until after the autopsy is complete.
