Police investigating fatal pedestrian collision

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred yesterday evening in north Calgary.

At approximately 6:40 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, a red 1989 Ford Crown Victoria car driven by a 71-year-old man was travelling south along Centre Street N.

At the intersection of 18 Avenue and Centre Street N., a 66-year-old woman was crossing on the south side of the intersection. She was struck by the Crown Victoria and was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. She later died in hospital.
