Police investigate two armed robberies

The Calgary Police Service is investigating after two armed robberies occurred at convenience stores in the last two days.

At approximately 7 a.m., on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, a masked man entered a convenience store located in the 1400 block of Kensington Road N.W. The man produced a knife and demanded that the store clerk give him money. The man then fled the scene.

Then, at 12:50 a.m., on Thursday, March 23, 2017, it is believed the same man entered a different convenience store located in the 2900 block of 14 Street S.W. He again produced a knife and demanded money from the store clerk. He fled that store as well.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect. He is described as being in his mid-20s, approximately 5’8” tall, with a medium build, deep voice and dark eyes. CCTV photos of him are being released to help identify him.
