Police charge man for indecent act

The Calgary Police Service has charged one man with an indecent act following an investigation into a man possibly approaching teenage girls in Evergreen and Bridlewood.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, a man was observed masturbating inside a white Honda Civic beside a school playground in the 200 block of Bridlewood Way S.W. When he was confronted by a passerby, he drove away.

A short time later, police located a vehicle and person matching the description given by witnesses parked in the nearby community of Shawnessy. The suspect was arrested without incident.

Mark Angelo CATAPANG, 24, of Okotoks is charged with an indecent act in a public place. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
