Police ask for public’s help in bank fraud investigation

The Calgary Police is asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest after multiple bank accounts were accessed illegally at several banks and then a casino.

Between 4:30 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, and 2 p.m., the next day, it is believed that two men visited multiple banks in Calgary, Okotoks and Airdrie, where they withdrew money from other people’s bank accounts. It is believed the men then visited Elbow River Casino, located at 218 18 Ave. S.E., where they also withdrew money from a bank account.

Police have not yet identified any suspects, but have identified a man who may be connected to the case. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify him so they can find out if he has any information that would help with the investigation.
