Police and victim’s family ask for help in hit and run

At approximately 5:20 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, 25-year-old Yulia POTEKHINA was crossing in a crosswalk at the intersection of Bannister Road and Midlake Boulevard S.E. A driver turning onto eastbound Midlake Boulevard struck her and sped away from the scene.

As a result of the collision, Yulia sustained serious leg and head injuries and remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police have been unable to locate the vehicle involved in the collision and are still looking for a dark-coloured truck, possibly a 2009 to 2015 Ford F150. A photo of the suspect vehicle is available in The City of Calgary Newsroom.
