TWO ALARM HOUSE FIRE IN THE COMMUNITY OF WHITE HORN

At approximately 04:00 this morning the Calgary Fire Department (CFD), responded to a fully involved house fire on White Land DR. NE. A second alarm was called due to the large volume of smoke and flames which could be seen from McKnight BLVD. After the arriving crews confirmed that all the occupants of the involved homes were safe and accounted for, they deployed large volume hoses and begin an aggressive two pronged attack on the involved houses. The fire was quickly brought under control and the damage was contained to the two houses. As a precaution a number of nearby homes were evacuated, the occupants have since been allowed back into their houses. Crews remain on scene overhauling the damaged homes looking for hot spots. There were no injuries to CFD personnel or civilians. An investigation into the cause of the fire will commence once the area is considered safe for the Investigators.
