Suspicious Person

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify and locate a suspicious man who persistently followed a girl in the city's southeast yesterday.

At approximately 10 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, a 15-year-old girl was walking in the area of Dover Ridge Drive and 28 Street S.E. when she noticed a man following her. The man never made any comment to her, but as the girl would walk quickly away, the man would walk quickly. As the girl ran, the man ran as well.

Two neighbours observed the man chasing the girl and came to her aid, causing the suspicious man to leave. The girl reported the incident to her parents who immediately called police.

The man is described as Caucasian, in his 50s, with a small build, short balding hair and glasses. He was wearing long-sleeved blue coveralls with reflective tape on the front.

Anyone who may have information about the identity of the man is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at any of the following:
