Serious Injury Hit and Run Collision

At approximately 1155 hours on the 19th April 2015, a serious injury, two vehicle hit and run collision occurred outside the Dollar and Gift Bazzar 200 Saddletowne Circle NE.

At that time a black 2008 Mercedes B200 was entering a parking stall immediately outside the Dollar and Gift Bazzar. As the Mercedes maneuvered towards the stall, a 2003 Jeep Liberty was reversing out of an adjacent stall. There was a minor collision between the vehicles. The driver of the Mercedes exited the vehicle and began to discuss the collision with the Jeep driver. It appears that the Jeep moved forward, dragging the Mercedes driver under the Jeep’s front passenger side wheel. The Mercedes driver was then pinned under the front passenger side wheel of the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep then fled the scene on foot.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 34 year old female, was taken to the Foothills Hospital in life threatening, critical, condition.

The driver of the Jeep is believed to be an East Indian male in his late teens, and has yet to be identified.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the Jeep, and to contact the Collision reconstruction Unit (403) 567-4000 with any information.
