One man charged in three recent bank robberies

The Calgary Police Service has charged one man in relation to three separate bank robberies occurring in June and July 2015.

In each of the robberies a lone man entered the bank and produced a robbery note. An undisclosed amount of cash was given to the man before he fled the location.

The robberies occurred:

  • On Thursday, June 25, 2015, at approximately 12:30 p.m., at the BMO located in the 2500 block of 32 Street N.E.
  • On Friday, July 3, 2015, at approximately 3:45 p.m., at the Scotiabank located in the 200 block of 61 Avenue S.W.
  • On Monday, July 6, 2015, at approximately 10:10 a.m., at the ATB located in the 3600 block of Brentwood Road N.W.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives from the CPS Robbery Unit were able connect these three instances together and it is alleged they were all committed by the same male.

On Thursday, July 23, 2015, Jesse David ROBINS, 26, of Calgary, was arrested without incident. ROBINS is charged with three counts of robbery. He will next appear in court today, Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
