Fire Crews respond to broken gas line

Shortly after 2:30 today, Fire Crews responded to reports of a broken gas line in the 4900 block of Front Street SE. Crews arrived to find a 4" gas main that had been severed by a piece of machinery working  on site. Crews monitored the surrounding air quality while assisting Atco Gas with confining and clamping the line. A total of 25 workers evacuated their work site until it was safe to return.
