Calgary Fire Department pulls one patient from apartment fire

At approximately 2:45 this afternoon, the Calgary Fire Department responded to a building fire at the 3700 block of 42 Street NW. On arrival, fire crews saw smoke coming from a suite on the first floor. On entering the smoke filled suite, they found an unconscious woman on the floor who had sustained burns to her body and face. She was rescued from the building and her care was transferred to EMS. Firefighters quickly got the fire under control and damage was limited to the suite of origin. No other injuries were reported and CFD as well as CPS investigators are on scene to determine the exact origin and cause.
