Calgary Fire Department fights Palliser house fire

 

 

 

This morning at 11:00, the Calgary Fire Department was called to a home at the 3100 block of Palliser Drive SW for reports of a house fire. The resident of the home was alerted to the presence of smoke in the basement by a smoke alarm. He then self evacuated and called 911 from outside the home. On arrival, fire crews saw smoke coming from the basement and quickly contained the fire to the  room of origin. Fire damage was limited to the one room however there is significant smoke damage throughout the home. No injuries were reported as a result of this fire and Calgary Fire Department Fire Investigators are on scene to determine exact origin and cause.
