Calgary Fire Department extinguishes fire in North East Industrial Building

 

 

 

 

Just after 6:30 pm this evening the Calgary Fire Department was called to an fire alarm system activation in the 2700 block of 22 Street N..E. Large volumes of smoke were visible to first on scene crews and a aggressive search for the source of the smoke was initiated. The source was determined to be fast moving fire in a auto body repair facility located in one of the 6 bays of an large industrial building. Crews used large volume fans to ventilate the structure while initiating a simultaneous fire attack and were able to quickly bring the fire under control. There were no occupants in the building at the time and no injuries were reported. Fire crews remain on scene ventilating the structure and Fire investigators have begun the initial stages of their investigation. Traffic is not being impacted by this event.
