By-Election Candidates’ Nomination Packages now available

If running for Public School Trustee in the 2015 Calgary Board of Education By-Election in Wards 11 & 13, Candidate Information books and Nomination Papers are now available for pick up at the Election and Information Services Office, 1103-55 Avenue N.E. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, Monday to Friday. For more information, call the office at 403-476-4100 (option 1).

Candidates must file their completed nomination papers on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Council Chambers, City Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. The list of candidates filing Nomination Papers will be available at 1:00 p.m. As there is a 24 hours withdrawal period, the list of candidates becomes official at noon on Tuesday, March 17.

Public School Trustee candidates must obtain 25 signatures from eligible public school electors living in Ward 11 or 13 and pay the $100 required deposit.

April 13, 2015 is By-Election Day for all eligible public school voters of Wards 11 and 13. Candidates and eligible electors can visit calgary.ca/election for more information.
