Media Advisory: Drive-up voting demonstration

In an effort to make voting more accessible to Calgarians, Elections Calgary has increased the number of Advance Vote locations across the city and is piloting a Drive‑up Vote station during the Advance Vote. The Drive-up Vote station will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from October 4-6 at McMahon Stadium.

What: A demonstration of the Drive-up Voting process will be provided at a media availability today with Paul Denys, Manager, Elections & Census.

When: Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.

Where: McMahon Stadium in the parking lot near the 23 Avenue entrance (1817 Crowchild Trail N.W. T2M 4S7)

Advance Vote information – daily turnout summary

For voter convenience, the Advance Vote for the 2017 General Election will take place October 4-8 and 10-11 at locations across the city and is available to all eligible voters. Voters should remember to bring a piece of authorized ID when voting. Information on Advance Vote dates, times, and locations is available at electionscalgary.ca or in the Advance Vote brochure.

Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, a daily turnout summary will be provided to media via The City of Calgary Newsroom at approximately 8:30 p.m. daily with the exception of Monday, Oct. 9 (Thanksgiving). An Advance Vote summary for 2013 and 2010 is provided for your convenience.
