Man charged with three bank robberies

The Calgary Police Service Robbery Team has charged one man in relation to three separate robberies.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a man entered the RBC located in the 5600 block of 4 Street N.W. He approached a teller, presented a robbery note, verbally demanded money and indicated he was armed. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the bank.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a man entered the CIBC located in the 5600 block of 4 Street N.E. He approached a teller and presented a robbery note demanding money and indicating he was armed. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the bank.

On Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at approximately 12 p.m., a man entered the CIBC located in the 2300 block of Centre Street N. He approached a teller, indicated he was armed and produced a robbery note demanding money and threatening the teller. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before leaving the bank.

Later that night, investigators from the CPS Robbery Team located the suspect in the Thorncliffe area and arrested him without incident.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.

Clinton Ernest McGEOUGH is charged with three counts of robbery. He will next appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017.
