Long weekend road closures

Motorists are being advised of the following road/lane closures over the Thanksgiving long weekend, from Friday, Oct. 5 to Tuesday, Oct. 9:

Northeast

1 Street N.E. will be closed between 15 Ave. and 13 Ave. N.E. on Friday, Oct. 5 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This closure accommodates saw cutting.

1 Street N.E. and 15 Ave. N.E. will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7 a.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 a.m. This closure accommodates water main replacement.

Northwest

Eastbound Memorial Drive at Crowchild Trail will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4 and Friday, Oct. 5.

Memorial Drive N.W. will have reduced lanes in both directions between 9 Street and 10 Street N.W. from Friday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 5 a.m. This closure accommodates construction.

University Drive N.W. will have reduced lanes in both directions between Unwin Road N.W. and 16 Ave N.W. from Friday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 5 a.m. At the same time, the ramp from southbound University Drive NW to Westbound 16 Ave N.W. will be closed.

Northbound Crowchild Trail will have a single lane closure between 5 Avenue N.W. and University Drive N.W. on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eastbound Memorial Drive between east of Crowchild Trail and 19 Street N.W. will have a left-hand lane closure on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Southbound Crowchild Trail will have a mobile lane closure between Kensington Road and Memorial Drive on Saturday Oct. 6 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Southeast

3 Street S.E. will be closed between 6 Ave. and 9 Ave. S.E. from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. This closure accommodates a mobile crane for the Municipal Building.

17 Ave S.E. will have reduced lanes east of 19 Street S.E. starting on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 5 a.m. This closure accommodates construction.

17 Ave S.E. will have reduced lanes between 28 Street and 31 Street S.E. on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Confluence Way S.E. will be closed between 6 Ave. and Riverfront Ave. S.W. starting Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7 a.m. until Monday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. This closure accommodates new service tie-in.

9 Ave S.E. will be closed between 8 Street and 11 Street S.E. starting Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 5 a.m. until Friday, Oct. 12 at 5 a.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Southwest

10 Avenue S.W. ramp off of southbound Crowchild Trail will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4 and Friday, Oct. 5.

Northbound Crowchild Trail will be reduced to one lane between Bow Trail and Memorial Drive from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The intersection of 17 Ave. S.W. and 8 Street S.W. will be closed starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 until Oct. 15. This closure is for work associated to the 17 Avenue S.W. reconstruction project.

The ramp from westbound 6 Ave. S.W. to southbound 14 Street S.W. will be closed nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. beginning Thursday, Oct.4 until Monday, Oct. 8. This closure accommodates underground utility work.

4 Street S.W. at 7 Ave S.W. will be reduced to a single lane starting Friday, Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. until Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. This closure accommodates CTrain rail repair.

12 Street S.W. will be closed between 15 Ave. S.W. and 16 Ave. S.W. beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9. This closure accommodates underground utility work.

Eastbound Bow Trail will have a single right-hand lane closure on Friday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
