Police investigate home invasion

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a home invasion that occurred in the city’s northeast.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., on Sunday, June 26, 2016, police were called to a residence in the 0-100 block of Beddington Drive N.E., for reports of an armed home invasion. A man fled the scene prior to police arrival, but he was quickly located nearby. It is believed the suspect then took his own life. A man and woman from inside the residence were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
