Hawkwood suspicious death update

The Calgary Police Service has deemed the death of man found in a northwest home yesterday afternoon as not suspicious.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, police were called to the 200 block of Hawkwood Boulevard N.W., for a check on welfare. A man was found deceased inside the home.

An autopsy was completed today, Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, and pending further information from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death is no longer believed to be suspicious. As a result, no further information will be provided.
