Forest Lawn shooting investigation

Police are currently on scene in Forest Lawn at a shooting that left one person injured.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, police were called to an apartment complex in the 1700 block of 37 Street S.E., for reports that a woman had been shot. The victim was transported to hospital in serious condition.

Early information suggests numerous shots were fired into a residence, though the circumstances are not yet clear as to where the victim was at the time of the shooting, or if she was the intended target.

The area has been cordoned off and the investigation will continue.
