Fentanyl trafficker charged - JONES

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man with the trafficking of fentanyl.

On Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, officers observed activity consistent with drug trafficking in the Sunridge area. Shortly thereafter, officers pulled over a vehicle in the area of 20 Avenue N.W. and 15 Street N.W. Inside the vehicle, officers found 43 fentanyl pills, multiple cell phones and $1,135.

Ricardo Esteban JONES, 31, of Calgary, is charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and two counts of breach of a recognizance. He will next appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016.
