Fatal pedestrian collision at Erlton LRT Station

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a third fatal collision that occurred today.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., police were called to the Erlton LRT Station for reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a CTrain as the CTrain approached the platform. An adult male was pronounced deceased on scene.

CTrain traffic has been shut down in both directions at Erlton LRT Station as the investigation is ongoing. Citizens are encouraged to use alternate routes or use the shuttle buses provided by Calgary Transit while the station is closed.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
