Parking
All on-street parking is free and holiday rates are in effect at select Calgary Parking Authority (CPA) surface lots and parkades.

Veterans’ Parking
Calgary Parking Authority offers free parking for all vehicles displaying a valid Veterans’ license plate at all its facilities on Remembrance Day (with the exception of the Calgary Zoo and Telus Spark surface lots). Additionally, CPA has a Veterans’ Parking Program that provides $10 per month courtesy credit towards on-street parking. Visit the website or call 403-537-7000 for more information.

Remembrance Day Ceremonies

To honour the memory of those who have served and show appreciation for those who continue to serve our country, flags at all Government of Canada, Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary facilities will be lowered to half-mast from sunrise to sundown on Remembrance Day.

Aerospace Museum

Battalion Park

Burnsland Cemetery
27 Ave. at Spiller Rd. S.E.
Many heroes representing the Canadian Military and Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been laid to rest here. Join us for a free walking tour at 2 p.m.

Calgary International Airport (YYC)
2000 Airport Rd N.E.
Airport Pipe Band and Honour Guard will form up at 10:30 a.m. in the Concourse D - Departures Level.

Canadian Pacific Ogden Memorial

Service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Central Memorial Park
1221 2 Street SW
Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. and includes a parade with the Calgary Highlanders.

Chinook Centre

The 2015 Calgary Poppy Fund’s annual campaign is underway at Chinook Centre with a special display and representatives from the Legion in the mall’s centre court. Live buglers will perform prior to a moment of silence at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11.

Remembrance Day ceremony at the flagpole, service begins at 10:45 a.m.

Jubilee Auditorium

Tickets are free and issued on first-come, first-served basis.

Military Museums

Admission is free and those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Veterans’ Food Bank.

Poppy plaza
Memorial Drive at 10 St. N.W.
This park commemorates those who have served to protect our freedom and security and is open from 5 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily.

Royal Canadian Legions

The ceremony at the Kensington location (1910 Kensington Rd. N.W.), will be followed by lunch and refreshments. 
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 9:45; the service begins at 10:45 a.m.
