City of Calgary Hours of Operation for Victoria Day

Things to do

Tee up this long weekend at City golf courses
Golf courses and driving ranges are open (weather dependent, and with public health restrictions). Visit calgary.ca/golf to learn more and book a tee time

Visit your local park
With 8,000 hectares of park space, there is tons of room for physical distancing. Do your part in helping us keep our parks safe and open by adhering to the recommendations of public health officials. Stay close to home by visiting your neighbourhood park (95 per cent of citizens live within a five-minute walk to their local park). Avoid crowded parks and be sure to step aside to stay at least two metres or six feet apart when passing other citizens on trails, pathways and sidewalks.

Around the house

Road construction and street closures

Sarcee Trail and Richmond Road intersection improvements – May Long Weekend Construction Impacts

Construction to replace temporary barriers with permanent cast-in-place concrete barriers at the Enmax and AltaLink transmission towers is ongoing on southbound and northbound Sarcee Trail. There will be right lane closures with the speed reduced to 50km/h during the construction period. Two traffic lanes will remain open at all times. More information on project page at www.Calgary.Ca/Sarcee. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

Please note that the Barlow Trail/7 Ave NE access in and out of the Meridian area will be temporarily closed starting Friday May 21 at 8:00pm and will reopen on or before Tuesday May 25 at 5:00am. Northbound Barlow Trail right in and right out will be available at 4 Ave NE, and all turns access will remain as currently available at Barlow Trail and Center Ave. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience. More information on project page at www.Calgary.ca/BarlowTrail.
