Charges laid in 2017 homicide

The Calgary Police Service has laid charges in connection with the homicide of 35-year-old Adam YOUNG.

At approximately 10 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, YOUNG, 35, was last seen leaving his residence, located in the 200 block of 11 Avenue S.E. In late 2017, police requested the public’s assistance to locate YOUNG, which did not result in any information as to the whereabouts of YOUNG.

Based on information obtained during the investigation, police determined that there was a strong probability of foul play and investigated YOUNG’s disappearance as a homicide.

In October 2018, police conducted an extensive, 10-day search of a rural property east of Aldersyde, AB. Evidence collected from the property along with additional search warrants executed in the city of Calgary have resulted in charges against two individuals believed to be responsible for YOUNG’s death.

Jeffrey Ryan BRADY, 34, and Robert Floyd CUDNEY, 39, of Calgary, have both been charged with second-degree murder.

The investigation remains ongoing.
