Calgary Stampede Rope Square Downtown Attractions –Monday, July 10 to Saturday, July 15 – 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. daily

• Northbound Macleod Trail is closed between 6 Avenue and 9 Avenue S.W.
• 9 Avenue S.W. closed at 1 Street S.W.
  • Motorists are advised to use 2 Street S.W.
• Parking restrictions in place in the following locations:
  • 3 Street S.W. between 2 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.W.
  • 8 Avenue S.W. between 3 Street and Macleod Trail S.E.
  • Macleod Trail S.E. from 9 Avenue to Riverfront Avenue S.E.
  • Riverfront Avenue from Macleod Trail to 2 Street S.E.
  • 4 Avenue S.W. from 1 Street to 3 Street S.W.

Stampede Roundup Music Fest – Tuesday, July 11 from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

This event being held at the Shaw Millennium Park will have the following road detours:

• Reduced lane on 9 Avenue S.W. between the 14 Street S.W. on ramp and 11 Street S.W. to accommodate taxi zone.
• Reduced lanes on 11 Street S.W. between 9 Avenue S.W. and 6 Avenue S.W.

Avoid area, expect delays and use alternate route.

Northeast

UPDATE: Westbound 32 Avenue N.E. will be reduced by one lane between 23 Street N.E. and 19 Street NE until Wednesday, July 12 weekdays daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Northbound 52 Street N.E. will be reduced by one lane at Whitehorn Drive N.E. / Temple Drive N.E. beginning on Monday, July 10 until Friday, September 1 on weekdays only daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pedestrian detour will be indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate construction.

The right turn bay from southbound on Barlow Trail N.E. onto Country Hills Boulevard N.E. will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Wednesday, July 12 to accommodate utility work.

Country Hills Boulevard N.E. will have various lane closures at 52 Street N.E./Cityscape gate N.E. beginning on Monday, July 10 until Friday, July 21 weekdays only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closures are to accommodate utility work.

Falconridge Boulevard N.E. will have reduced lanes northbound and southbound at Taradale Drive N.E./Martindale Boulevard N.E. until Friday, Sept. 1 on weekdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pedestrian detours will be indicated via signage. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Northbound 36 Street N.E. will be reduced by one lane at Rundlehorn Drive N.E. beginning on until July 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Southbound Barlow Trail N.E. will see reduced lanes south of Country Hills Boulevard N.E. and on westbound Country Hills Boulevard N.E. approaching this intersection from Tuesday, July 4 at 9 a.m. to Friday, July 14 at 6 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Falconridge Boulevard N.E. will see various lane closures at Taradale Drive N.E. on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 P.M. until Thursday, September 7. Pedestrian detour indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate transit construction work. 

Northwest

NEW: Reduced lane eastbound on Stoney Trail N.W. at Sarcee Trail N.W. on Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12 daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lane westbound on 16 Avenue N.W. and northbound on 29 Street N.W./Uxbridge Drive N.W. on Tuesday, July 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Westbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced by one lane between Sarcee Trail N.W. and Bowfort Road N.W. beginning on Monday, July 10 to Wednesday, July 12 daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Westbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced by one lane between University Drive N.W. and Uxbridge Drive until Friday, July 21 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Westbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced by one lane west of 14 Street N.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure continues daily until 3 p.m. on Monday, July 17. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced by one lane between Bowfort Road N.W. and Sarcee Trail N.W. until Friday, July 14 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Southbound Sarcee Trail N.W. will see lane reductions at Stoney Trail N.W. and on the westbound on-ramp from Stoney Trail N.W. to Sarcee Trail N.W. beginning on Monday, July 10 at 9 p.m. to Tuesday, July 11 at 6 a.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Hidden Creek Drive N.W. will see lane reductions in both directions at Beddington Trail N.W. daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, July 14. This closure accommodates intersection improvements.

16 Avenue NW / Home Road project

• Westbound 16 Avenue N.W. will be reduced by one lane between 49 Street N.W. and 46 Street N.W. until Saturday, July 15 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Business access is to be maintained. Closure is to accommodate construction.
• Eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. will see lane reductions at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. until Friday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.
• 16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. will see various lane closures until the end of October, 2017 as part of an intersection improvement project.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

• Daily lane reductions on Bowfort Road N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice. For more information on this project, visit the project page.

Southeast

NEW: Reduced lane eastbound on 130 Avenue S.E. at 52 Street S.E. including closed right turn lane northbound on 52 Street S.E. onto 130 Avenue S.E. beginning on Tuesday, July 11 to Friday, July 14 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure accommodates utility work.

Eastbound 17 Avenue S.E. will see various lane reductions between 54 Street and 51 Street S.E. beginning on Monday, July 10 to Tuesday, July 11 daily from 7a.m. to 3 p.m. Closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced lane northbound on 52 Street S.E. from 126 Avenue S.E. to 300 meters to the north beginning on Monday, July 10 to Wednesday, July 12 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure accommodates utility work.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

• The right lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Ogden Road S.E. at Glenmore Trail S.E. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14. A reduced speed limit of 50 km/h that will remain in effect 24/7 for duration of interchange construction. For more information, visit the project page.

Road closure southbound on 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue S.E. and 7 Avenue S.E. with reduced northbound lanes beginning on Tuesday, June 20 at 12:00 a.m. until Friday, September 1 at 6 p.m. Vehicle and pedestrian detours indicated via signage. This closure accommodates construction.

17 Ave S.E. BRT Project

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange Project

• There will be various lane closures on southbound Macleod Trail S.E. between Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. / Midlake Boulevard S.E. and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14.
• There will be various lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail S.E. between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard S.E. and Shawnessy Boulevard S.E. / Midlake Boulevard S.E. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14.

210 Avenue S.E. between Sheriff King Street and MacLeod Trail S.E. will be closed until Monday, July 31. This closure accommodates utility work. Please use alternate routes.

Southbound 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.E. will be closed until early July. Access to Lot 47 will be available at all times and can only be accessed from 9 Avenue S.E. Please use alternate routes and expect delays. This closure accommodates the 3 Street corridor improvement project.
