Northeast

UPDATE: Reduced lanes on eastbound and westbound Country Hills Boulevard N.E. between Deerfoot Trail and Barlow Trail N.E. has been extended until Saturday, May 27. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: Road closure on southbound Centre Street N.E. between 17 Avenue and 16 Avenue N.E. on Saturday, May 27 from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Two way traffic on the eastside of Centre Street N.E. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: Road closure at 11 Street and 53 Avenue N.E. starting Saturday, May 27 at 6 a.m. until Friday, June 2 at 6 p.m. Two way traffic on eastside of 11 Street N.E. and the west side of 53 Avenue N.E. is closed. This closure accommodates a water main replacement.

NEW: Reduced lanes on Country Hills Boulevard and 25 Street N.E. starting Monday, May 29 until Tuesday, May 30 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.

32 Avenue N.E. is closed between 56 Street and 60 Street N.E. starting Friday, May 26 at 6 a.m. until Tuesday, May 30 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates water main maintenance.

Southbound/northbound Falconridge Boulevard will see reduced lanes at Saddletowne Circle N.E. starting Friday, May 26 until Monday, July 17 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Northbound Barlow Trail N.E. at Freeport Trail Boulevard will be closed and there will be two-way traffic in the southbound lanes. Eastbound Freeport Boulevard N.E. will also be closed and detoured to 100 Avenue N.E. This work goes until Thursday, June 1 at 6 p.m. Closures accommodate construction.

Westbound McDougall Road N.E. between 7 Street N.E. and 7A Street N.E. will be closed until Wednesday June 7 at 5 p.m. This closure accommodates curb and sidewalk work. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

11 Street N.E. between Aviation Road and 53 Avenue N.E. will be reduced to one-lane in each direction until Tuesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. and accommodates water main replacement work.

Skyview Ranch Drive N.E. is closed between Skyview Shores Manor and Skyview Ranch Street N.E. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 for road construction.

Northwest

NEW: Road closure on 17 Avenue N.W. between 7 Street and 8 Street N.W. on Saturday, May 27 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. This closure accommodates construction work. Please use alternate routes.

NEW: Road closure at 85 Street N.W. between 47 Avenue and 48 Avenue N.E. on Saturday, May 27 from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. This closure accommodates utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes (right lane closed) on westbound 32 Avenue N.W. at Shaganappi Trail N.W. on Monday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure accommodates tree pruning.

16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. will see various lane closures until the end of October, 2017 as part of an intersection improvement project.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

• Daily lane reductions on Bowfort Road N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.For more information on this project, visit the project page.

Stoney Trail/ Sarcee Trail Interchange Improvements

• Daily lane reductions on Sarcee Trail N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice. For more information on this project, visit the project page.

Southeast

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

• NEW: Eastbound Glenmore Trail between Barlow Trail and 52 Street S.E. will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, May 26 and continuing through the weekend leading up to a major traffic detour and traffic pattern changes on Sunday, May 28. Traffic will be detoured to 76 Avenue S.E. + 90 Avenue S.E. via Barlow Trail and 114 Avenue S.E. via Shepard Road to bypass the construction. Alternate routes are recommended as delays are expected
• NEW: There will be various lane closures in all directions at Barlow Trail and Glenmore Trail from 7 a.m. Saturday, May 27 until 5 p.m. Sunday, May 28. This is required for a major traffic pattern change. There will be significant delays at this interchange and surrounding areas on Sunday, May 28 to accommodate the implementation of the next stage of construction. Calgary Police Service will be on site to control traffic during changes. Use of alternate routes is highly recommended.
• NEW: There will be various westbound lane closures on Glenmore Trail at Ogden Road / 24 Street S.E. from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, May 28 to implement a traffic pattern change by shifting the alignment of westbound Glenmore Trail. This shift is required to accommodate the next stage of construction. Drivers should expect significant delays and the Calgary Police Service will be on site to control traffic during changes. Use of alternate routes is highly recommended

NEW: Road closure at 3 Street S.E. between 9 Avenue S.E. and 6 Avenue S.E. on Saturday, May 27 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Access to lot 47 will be available at all times from 9 Avenue S.E. This closure accommodates road construction for the new Central Library.

NEW: Reduced lanes (right lanes closed) on northbound and southbound Shawville Boulevard at 162 Avenue S.E. from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes (right lane closed) on eastbound 162 Avenue S.E. west of Shawville Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: Road closure eastbound 17 Avenue S.E. between 50 Street and 52 Street S.E. on Sunday, May 28 from 4 a.m. until 12 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: Road closure at Willow Park Drive S.E. between Willowburn Crescent and Willowview Road S.E. starting Monday, May 29 at 7 a.m. until Friday, June 16 at 10 p.m. This closure accommodates sanitary utility upgrades. Please use alternate routes.

14 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 27 Street and 28 Street S.E. starting Thursday, May 25 at 8 a.m. until Wednesday, May 31 at 10 p.m. This closure accommodates underground utility tie-ins.

The right lane on westbound McKenzie Towne Boulevard will be closed at 52 Street S.E. until Wednesday, May 31 weekdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. This closure accommodates utility work.

210 Avenue S.E. between Sheriff King Street and MacLeod Trail S.E. will be closed until Monday, July 31. This closure accommodates utility work. Please use alternate routes.

Southbound 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.E. will be closed until early July. Access to Lot 47 will be available at all times and can only be accessed from 9 Avenue S.E. Please use alternate routes and expect delays. This closure accommodates the 3 Street corridor improvement project.

Southwest

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange Project

• NEW: There will be various short-term lane closures on northbound and southbound Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard and Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 26. These closures accommodate survey work.

NEW: Northbound 5 Street S.W. between 17 Avenue and 18 Avenue S.W. will be closed and 17 Avenue will be reduced to a single lane in each direction at 5 Street S.W starting Friday, May 26 at 9 a.m. and continuing until Sunday, May 28 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates emergency water services work.

UPDATE: Road closure on 14 Avenue S.E. between 27 Street and 28 Street S.E. starting Monday, May 29 at 8 a.m. until Friday, June 2 at 10 p.m. This closure accommodates underground utility tie-ins.

UPDATE: 17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to a single eastbound lane between 8 Street and 9 Street S.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, May 29 until Friday, June 2 This closure is to accommodate sidewalk removal and installation.

2 Avenue S.W. will be closed between 3 Street and 2 Street S.W. starting Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m. until Monday, May 29 at 6 a.m. Access to Eau Claire Market surface loft will be maintained. Use alternate routes and expect delays. This closure accommodates construction.

Reduced lanes (right lane closed) at 1 Street S.W. between 12 Avenue and 13 Avenue S.W. until Sunday, June 4 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates road construction.

1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.W. will see various lane closures Saturday, June 10. Safe pedestrian access will be maintained and access to businesses and residents will be accommodated during construction. These closures accommodate 1 Street corridor improvement project.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

• 17 Avenue will be closed to traffic between Macleod Trail and Centre Street starting May 19. For more information on the 17 Avenue construction schedule visit Calgary.ca/17Avenue.
• Reduced lanes on 17 Avenue S.W. between 8 Street and 9 Street S.W. starting Wednesday, May 24 until Saturday, May 27 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure accommodates sidewalk removal and installation.

• Reduced lane on Macleod Trail S.E. at 17 Avenue S.E. beginning on Tuesday, May 16 at 10 a.m. to Tuesday, May 30 at 3 p.m. to accommodate road construction.

• 17 Avenue S.W. is closed between Macleod Trail S.E. and 1 Street S.E. During this closure, local business access will be maintained. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19.

Alberta Transportation

Alberta Transportation maintains Deerfoot Trail (Hwy.2) and Stoney Trail (Hwy. 201). For more information on work happening on these roads visit Alberta Transportation’s website.

Southwest Ring Road Project

53 Annual Scotiabank Calgary Marathon – Sunday, May 28 – Roads closures from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m.

• Olympic Way will be closed from 14 Avenue S.E. to 19 Avenue S.E. (Also, Olympic Way from 4 Street S.E. to 12 Street S.E. will be closed between 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.)
• 4 Street S.E. will be reduced to one lane from 8 Avenue S.E. to 14 Avenue S.E.
• 11 Avenue will be reduced to two westbound lanes from Olympic Way to 14 Street S.W.
• 17 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to one lane each direction on south side from 1 Street S.W. to 14 Street S.W
• 9 Avenue S.W. will be reduced to two-lanes between 14 Street S.W. and 4 Street S.E.
• Northbound 14 Street S.W. will be reduced to one lane between 17 Avenue S.W. and Kensington Road N.W.
• 12 Street will be closed between 9 Avenue S.E. and 2 Avenue N.E.
• 1 Avenue N.E. will be reduced to one eastbound lane between 12 Street N.E. and 4 Street N.E.
• 4 Street N.E. will be reduced to one lane on east side from 1 Avenue N.E. to Riverfront Avenue N.E.
• 8 Avenue S.E. will be closed between 4 Street S.E. and 6 Street S.E.
• Memorial Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Centre Street and the Langevin Bridge (4 Street N.E.)
• Memorial Drive will be completely closed between 10 Street N.W. and Crowchild Trail N.W.
• Riverfront Avenue will be closed from 1 Street S.W. to 6 Street S.E.
• Southbound Elbow Drive will be reduced to one right lane from 5 Street S.W. to 32 Avenue S.W.
• At Flanders Avenue S.W. ramps both directions on Crowchild Trail S.W. will be closed.
• Eastbound 50 Avenue S.W. (Mount Royal Gate) will have a right lane closure from Crowchild Trail to 21 Street S.W.

Drive with caution and watch for runners in the downtown core, Mount Royal, Bankview, and Garrison Woods areas:

• 20 Street S.W. from just south of 58 Avenue S.W. to 44 Avenue S.W.
• Richard Road S.W. from Flanders Avenue S.W. to west of Richardson Way S.W.
• Richardson Way S.W. from Richard Road S.W. to Sarcee Road S.W.
• Sarcee R S.W. from Richardson Way S.W. to 32 Avenue S.W.
• 29 Street S.W. from 32 Avenue S.W. to 26 Avenue S.W.
