Northeast

Update: 128 Avenue N.E. is reduced to a single lane in each direction between Skyview Ranch Road and Skyview Ranch Boulevard N.E. beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, February 27. This closure remains in place until 6 p.m. on Friday, March 10 and accommodates construction.

There will be no access to Taravista Drive N.E. from northbound Saddletowne Circle N.E. on weekend days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning on Saturday, February 25. Motorists will be detoured to 80 Avenue / Tarawood Lane N.E. via signage during the closure. This closure repeats during weekend days during these hours until further notice and accommodates construction.

Northwest

NEW: The right lane of southbound Shaganappi Trail N.W. is closed at Symons Valley Parkway N.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 3. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: Sage Hill Drive N.W. will be reduced to a single lane controlled by flagmen personnel west of Symons Valley Road N.W. from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, March 6. This closure accommodates utility work. Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and use alternate routes.

NEW: Northbound Nose Hill Drive N.W. is reduced to a single lane at Hawkstone Drive N.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 6. This closure repeats during these hours daily until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8 and accommodates utility work.

Stoney Trail/ Sarcee Trail Interchange Improvements

  • The right lane of westbound 16 Avenue N.W. is closed at Sarcee Trail N.W. daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Thursday, March 2. This closure repeats daily on weekdays until late April 2017.

Southeast

NEW: 52 Street S.E will be closed south of 50 Avenue S.E. from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 for CN Rail to complete urgent railway crossing repairs. Local traffic will be detoured to Barlow Trail via 50 Avenue S.E. and 61 Avenue S.E. to bypass the construction. Alternate routes such as Stoney Trail are recommended as delays are expected.

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange project

  • NEW: There will be various lane closures on southbound Macleod Trail between Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, March 6 until Friday, March 10.
  • NEW: There will be various lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard and Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Monday, March 6 until Friday, March 10.
  • There will be various lane closures on southbound Macleod Trail between Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, February 27 until Friday, March 3.
  • There will be various lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard and Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Monday, February 27 until Friday, March 3.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

  • The Shepard Road access south of Glenmore is closed. There will be a new access created at 24 Street S.E. south of Glenmore Trail, west of the existing Shepard Road alignment. Traffic requiring to access Shepard Road south of Glenmore Trial will be detoured via the new 24 Street S.E. exit and then along 86 Avenue S.E. to reconnect with Shepard Road. There will be limited business access north of 86 Avenue S.E. on Shepard Road after detour in place. In addition, the eastbound lanes on Glenmore Trail will be re-aligned into the next stage of construction. The eastbound and westbound lanes will be separated with two new intersections created. Ogden Road will have some alignment shifts north of Glenmore Trail to accommodate these traffic changes.

Southwest

NEW: Southbound 14 Street S.W. is reduced to a single lane at 90 Avenue S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 4. This closure remains in place until 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 and accommodates water services repair work.

NEW: 34 Avenue S.W. is closed between Garrison Gate S.W. and 20 Street S.W. from 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 6. During this closure, 21 Street S.W. is also closed between 33 Avenue S.W. and 35 Avenue S.W. This closure accommodates filming. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.

Update: The right lane and adjacent cycle track on 5 Street S.W. between 7 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.W. is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, January 11. Cycle track traffic will be diverted to the closed traffic lane. This closure continues daily during these hours until 3 p.m. on Friday, March 17 and accommodates utility work.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

  • 17 Avenue S.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction between 7 Street and 8 Street S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 31.
  • 7 Street S.W. is closed between 16 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 3.
  • 17 Avenue S.W. is reduced to one lane in each direction from 6 Street to 7 Street S.W. from 7 a.m. on Monday, February 6 until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 3.
