Northeast

NEW: Reduced northbound lane on 11 Street N.E. between 53 Avenue N.E. and 49 Avenue N.E. beginning on Friday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 10 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes southbound on 36 Street N.E. between 39 Avenue N.E. and Whitehorn Drive N.E. beginning on Saturday, June 10 at 9 p.m. to Sunday, June 11 at 9 a.m. Speeds will be reduced to 50km/h approaching the closure. This closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes eastbound/westbound on Airport Trail N.E. at Deerfoot Trail N.E. beginning on Monday, June 12 at 6 a.m. to Tuesday, June 20 at 7 p.m. Speeds reduced to 50km/h approaching the work zone. This closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced westbound lane on 32 Avenue N.E. between 23 Street N.E. and 19 Street NE beginning on Monday, June 12 to Saturday, June 24 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and on Saturdays only from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Reduced lanes northbound/southbound on Falconridge Boulevard N.E. and eastbound/ westbound Falconridge Drive N.E. approaching this intersection beginning on Monday, June 12 at 7 p.m. to Tuesday, June 13 at 5 a.m. Left turn restrictions will be in place off of Falconridge Boulevard N.E. Speeds reduced to 50km/h approaching the intersection. This closure is to accommodate road work.

NEW: Road closure on 9 Street N.E. between Centre Avenue N.E. and St Matthew Square N.E. beginning on Monday, June 12 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, June 18 at 6 p.m. Park access will remain open. Pedestrian and vehicle detours indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Reduced northbound and southbound lanes on Falconridge Boulevard N.E. at Taradale Drive N.E. weekdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 P.M. beginning on Monday, June 12 to Wednesday, August 2. Pedestrian detour indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate transit construction work.

Reduced southbound lane on Falconridge Boulevard N.E. at Taradale Drive N.E. beginning on Thursday, June 8 to Friday, June 9 daily from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pedestrian detours will be indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced northbound lane on 36 Street N.E. at 44 Avenue N.E. beginning on Wednesday, June 7 at 9:30 a.m. to Friday, June 9 at 2:30 p.m. During this closure, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr. through the work zone. This closure is to accommodate streetlight work.

Reduced right eastbound lane on Memorial Drive N.E. from 9 Street N.E. at the St Georges Drive N.E. exit ramp to 12 Street N.E. beginning on Tuesday, June 6 to Friday, June 9 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Speeds will be reduced through the construction zone.

Reduced right eastbound lane on Memorial Drive N.E. from 9 Street N.E. at the St Georges Drive N.E. exit ramp to 12 Street N.E. beginning on Tuesday, June 6 to Friday, June 9 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Speeds will be reduced through the construction zone.

Skyview Ranch Drive N.E. is closed between Skyview Shores Manor and Skyview Ranch Street N.E to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 and accommodates road construction.

Northwest

NEW: Road closure on Home Road N.W. between 19 Avenue N.W. and 20 Avenue N.W. beginning on Friday, June 9 at 6 p.m. to Saturday, June 10 at 6 p.m. Vehicle detour will be indicated via signage. This closure accommodates utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes eastbound/westbound on 16 Avenue N.W. between 2A Street N.W. and 5 Street N.W. and northbound/southbound on 4 Street N.E. approaching 16 Avenue N.W. beginning on Sunday, June 11 at 9 p.m. to Monday, June 12 at 5 a.m. This closure is to accommodate utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes eastbound on 16 Avenue N.W. at Bowfort Road N.W. beginning on Monday, June 12 at 9 a.m. to Tuesday, June 13 at 8 p.m. Expect major delays. Closure is to accommodate road work.

16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. will see various lane closures until the end of October, 2017 as part of an intersection improvement project.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

• Starting at 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, the temporary access into Canada Olympic Park will be closed, and a new permanent access point into this area will open. This area will have police onsite to help direct traffic, motorists are advised to expect delays and watch their speed in the area.
• Daily lane reductions on Bowfort Road N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.For more information on this project, visit the project page.

Stoney Trail/ Sarcee Trail Interchange Improvements

Southeast

NEW: Reduced northbound and southbound lanes on 68 Street S.E. at Applewood Drive S.E. on Friday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with speed reduced to 50km/h approaching the closure. This closure is to accommodate traffic signal work.

NEW: Road closure on 17 Avenue S.E. at 37 Street S.E. beginning on Friday, June 9 at 7 p.m. to Monday, June 12 at 5 a.m. Open to local traffic with vehicle detours indicated via signage with temporary 4 way stops set up on 16 Avenue S.E. and 19 Avenue S.E. at 36 Street S.E. This closure is to accommodate construction.

NEW: Road closure on 52 Street S.E. south of 50 Avenue S.E. beginning on Saturday, June 10 at 8 a.m. to Sunday, June 11 at 6 p.m. Detoured indicated via signage to Barlow Trail S.E. via 50 Avenue S.E. and 61 Avenue S.E. to bypass the construction. This closure is to accommodate CN rail work. Alternate routes such as Stoney Trail are recommended as delays are expected.

NEW: Road closure of lower deck on Centre Street Bridge beginning on Sunday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. to Monday, June 12 at 3 a.m. Closure is to accommodate bridge maintenance.

NEW: Reduced northbound lane on 52 Street S.E. between New Brighton Drive S.E. and 130 Avenue S.E. beginning on Monday, June 12 to Friday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 17 to Sunday, June 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Speeds reduced through the construction zone. This closure accommodates utility work.

Various reduced lanes on westbound McKenzie Towne Boulevard S.E. and southbound Prestwick Boulevard S.E. at the traffic circle beginning on Thursday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 21 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entrance to the community hall will remain open during the detour. This closure accommodates utility work.

Reduced lanes eastbound on 17 Avenue S.E. between 35 Street S.E. and 38 Street S.E. beginning on Wednesday, June 7 to Friday, June 9 daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday, June 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.

Reduced lanes eastbound on 17 Avenue S.E. between 42 Street S.E. and 47 Street S.E. beginning on Wednesday, June 7 to Friday, June 9 daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday, June 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.

17 Ave S.E. BRT Project

• NEW: Road closure on 17 Avenue S.E. at 45 Street S.E. beginning on Friday, June 9 at 7 p.m. to Monday, June 12 at 5 a.m. Open to local traffic with vehicle detours indicated via signage. This closure is to accommodate construction.
• NEW: Reduced lane on eastbound 17 Avenue S.E. at 33 Street S.E. and southbound lane on 33 Street S.W. approaching this intersection daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 12 to Wednesday, June 14. Closure is to accommodate construction.
• 6 Avenue S.E. is closed between 5 Street S.E. and Confluence Way S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 24. This closure was originally scheduled to remain in place until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 and has been extended until Friday, June 16 at 7 p.m. This closure is to accommodate utility work. Local access will be maintained. Detours will be indicated via signage and motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and use alternate routes.

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange Project

Road closure at Willow Park Drive S.E. between Willowburn Crescent and Willowview Road S.E. starting Wednesday, May 31 at 7 a.m. until Friday, June 16 at 10 p.m. This closure accommodates sanitary utility upgrades. Please use alternate routes.

210 Avenue S.E. between Sheriff King Street and MacLeod Trail S.E. will be closed until Monday, July 31. This closure accommodates utility work. Please use alternate routes.

Southbound 3 Street S.E. between 6 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.E. will be closed until early July. Access to Lot 47 will be available at all times and can only be accessed from 9 Avenue S.E. Please use alternate routes and expect delays. This closure accommodates the 3 Street corridor improvement project.

Southwest

NEW: Reduced lanes at the following locations beginning on Monday, June 12 to Friday, June 16 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closures are to accommodate utility work.

• Southbound on 5 Street S.W. between 5 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W.
• Northbound on 6 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W.
• Westbound on 6 Avenue S.W. at 5 Street S.W.

Road and sidewalk closures on 1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue S.W. and 12 Avenue S.W. beginning on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 a.m. originally scheduled until Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m. has been extended until Saturday, June 17 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates construction.

Reduced southbound lane on 1 Street S.W. between 12 Avenue S.W. and 13 Avenue S.W. until Sunday, June 17 at 7 p.m. This closure accommodates road construction.

Various reduced lanes on southbound 5 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 8 Avenue S.W. beginning on Wednesday, June 7 to Friday, June 9 daily from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pedestrian access will be restricted to one side of 5 Street S.W. with bicycle lane detours indicated via signage. This closure accommodates overhead plus 15 work.

1 Street S.W. between 10 Avenue and 17 Avenue S.W. will see various lane closures Saturday, June 10. Safe pedestrian access will be maintained and access to businesses and residents will be accommodated during construction. These closures accommodate 1 Street corridor improvement project.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

• NEW: Reduced lanes northbound on Macleod Trail S.E. between 15 Avenue S.E. and 18 Avenue S.E. beginning on Friday, June 9 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, June 11 at 9 p.m. This closure is to accommodate construction.
• UPDATE: Reduced lanes on 17 Avenue S.W. between 8 Street and 9 Street S.W. originally beginning on Wednesday, May 24 until Friday, June 2 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closures extended until Friday, June 16 with the inclusion of Saturday, June 10. This closure accommodates sidewalk removal and installation.
• Northbound MacLeod Trail S.E. at 17 Avenue S.E. will have reduced lanes through Tuesday, June 13 at 3 p.m.
• 17 Avenue will be closed to traffic between Macleod Trail and Centre Street starting May 19. For more information on the 17 Avenue construction schedule visit Calgary.ca/17Avenue.
• 17 Avenue S.W. is closed between Macleod Trail S.E. and 1 Street S.E. During this closure, local business access will be maintained. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19.

Alberta Transportation

Alberta Transportation maintains Deerfoot Trail (Hwy.2) and Stoney Trail (Hwy. 201). For more information on work happening on these roads visit Alberta Transportation’s website.

Southwest Ring Road Project

Road closures will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. on the second Friday of each month from June to September at the following locations:

• 10 Street S.E. at 9 Avenue S.E.
• 10 Avenue S.E. at 11 Street S.E.
• 11 Avenue S.E. at 12 Street S.E.
• Roadway will be open to local traffic only on 10 Avenue S.E. at 12 Street S.E.
• Please watch for pedestrians as parking is restricted in the area.

Kensington Foodie Festival – Saturday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
