Northeast

NEW: Northbound 36 Street N.E. is reduced to a single left lane south of Marlborough Drive N.E. beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday, April 22. This closure continues until 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 and accommodates construction on a pedestrian overpass.

NEW: Northbound 36 Street N.E. is reduced to a single right lane south of Marlborough Drive N.E. from 2:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. This closure accommodates construction on a pedestrian overpass.

NEW: Northbound 36 Street N.E. is reduced to a single right lane south of Marlborough Drive N.E. from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. This closure accommodates construction on a pedestrian overpass.

NEW: Northbound 36 Street N.E. is reduced to two left lanes lane south of Marlborough Drive N.E. from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. This closure accommodates construction on a pedestrian overpass.

NEW: Various lane closures on southbound 36 Street N.E. south of Marlborough Drive N.E. from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 24. This closure accommodates construction on a pedestrian overpass.

NEW: The right lane of westbound McKnight Boulevard N.E. is closed at 15 Street N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning on Monday, April 25. This closure continues daily through Friday, April 29 and accommodates construction as part of the McKnight Boulevard N.E. Widening Project.

Skyview Ranch Road N.E. is closed east of Skyview Ranch Drive N.E. beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20. Motorists in the area will be detoured around the closure. This closure continues until 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates utility installation.

Various single lane closures along 80 Avenue N.E. and Metis Trail N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting on Wednesday, April 20. This closures continue daily during these hours until Friday, April 29 and accommodate LED replacement.

Various single lane closures on 36 Street N.E. between Memorial Drive and 16 Avenue N.E. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Friday, April 15. These closures accommodate curb rehab in preparation for paving, and continue until further notice.

11 Street N.E. is closed south of 68 Avenue N.E. will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 16th to 7 a.m. on Monday April 18th. Beginning on Monday April 18, the closure will be on the north side of 68 Avenue N.E. to allow northbound traffic from 11 Street N.E. onto westbound 68 Avenue N.E. This closure continues until 7 a.m. on Monday, April 25.

New traffic patterns on McKnight Boulevard N.E. between 12 Street N.E. and 19 Street N.E. until June 2016. Eastbound McKnight will be closed in this stretch and narrowed two-way traffic will be in place in the westbound lanes. This work is part of the McKnight Boulevard N.E. Widening Project.

The right lane of eastbound 16 Avenue N.E. at 1 Street N.E. is closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekly on Tuesday through Friday until further notice. This closure accommodates construction.

Northwest

NEW: Sarcee Trail N.W. will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between John Laurie Boulevard N.W. and Crowchild Trail N.W. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. This closure accommodates bridge inspection.

NEW: Northbound Sarcee Trail N.W. is reduced to a single lane at 16 Avenue N.W. from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: The right lane of northbound 14 Street N.W. is closed from 5 Avenue S.W. to 7 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 25. During this closure there will be no left turn from southbound 14 Street N.W. to eastbound 5 Avenue N.W. There will also be no turn from eastbound 6 Avenue N.W. to northbound 14 Avenue N.W. This closure accommodates water services work.

NEW: Various single lane closures on northbound and southbound 14 Street S.W. north of Kensington Road N.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 25. This closure accommodates water services work.

NEW: Country Hills Boulevard Boulevard N.W. at 112 Avenue N.W. will have reduced lanes and police will be controlling the intersection beginning at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. During this closure, two-way traffic will be maintained on 112 Avenue N.W. This closure continues until 11:59 a.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates traffic signal work.

The right lane of northbound 10 Street N.W. between Memorial Drive and 2 Avenue N.W. is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning on Friday, April 8. This closure accommodates the Kensington improvements project and is expected to last daily through October 2016.

The right lane of northbound 10 Street N.W. between Memorial Drive and 2 Avenue N.W. is closed from 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily beginning on Monday, April 11. This closure accommodates the Kensington improvements project and is expected to last daily through October 2016.

83 Street N.W. is closed between 33 Avenue N.W. and Bowfort Road N.W. until Spring 2016. There will be no access to Bowness Road N.W. from 16 Avenue N.W. during this closure; use an alternate route.

Southeast

NEW: Various single lane closures in all direction at Macleod Trail S.E. and 6 Avenue S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 22. This closure continues until 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25 and accommodates construction.

NEW: Northbound Centre Street S will be reduced to a single left lane at 6 Avenue S.E. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, April 25. During this closure the left lane of 6 Avenue S.E. is also closeda at Centre Street N. This closure continues through Thursday, April 28 and accommodates utility work.

NEW: 4 Street S.E. is closed between 53 Avenue and 58 Avenue S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 22. This closure continues until 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates water services work.

11 Avenue S.E. is closed between 24 Street and 25 Street S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 21. This closure continues until 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates water services work.

Northbound and westbound closures at 146 Avenue S.E. and Bow Bottom Trail S.E. from 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. During this closure, a two-way traffic setup will be in place in the eastbound and southbound lanes. This closure accommodates construction.

Starting on Thursday, April 21 and continuing until the end of April, Dartmouth Road will be closed at 34 Avenue S.E. to allow for gas main upgrades. Traffic will be directed to use either Spiller Road or Macleod Trail to bypass the closure.

Various single lane closures on Glenmore Trail north of 52 Street S.E. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Friday, April 15. This construction continues daily during these hours on weekdays, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. These closures accommodate construction and continue until further notice.

15 Street S.E. is closed between 42 Street and 46 Street S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 18. During this closure, business access will be maintained. This closure continues through 2016 and accommodates major water services work.

Starting on Tuesday, March 29 and continuing until the end of April, there will be various stages of construction with sections of roadway being closed on 34 Avenue S.E. between Manchester Road and Dartmouth Road to allow for gas main upgrades. Use 36 Avenue S.E. to bypass the closures.

Zoo Road will be closed beginning on Monday, March 7 to accommodate the construction of the Zoo Flood mitigation project. The 12 Street S.E. bridge will remain open to local only traffic. This closure is expected to last until December 2017.

Blackfoot Trail / 58 Avenue S.E. Intersection Improvements Project

• NEW: The left lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Blackfoot Trail at 58 Avenue S.E. from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.
• NEW: The intersection of Blackfoot Trail with 58 Avenue S.E. will have various lane single lane closures in all directions between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Blackfoot Trail is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 50 km/h, that will remain in effect 24/7 for duration of construction.
• From now until late summer of 2016, there will be periodic lane closures and 50 km/h speed reductions at the intersection of Blackfoot Trail at 58 Avenue S.E. to allow for intersection improvements. Further information will follow as construction progresses. Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue Interchange project

• Starting on Thursday, April 7, the access to westbound 162 Avenue S.E. from northbound Macleod Trail will change. The previous northbound Macleod Trail to westbound 162 Avenue S.E. exit will re-open, but operate as a single left turn only. The access to eastbound Sun Valley Boulevard from northbound Macleod Trail will remain as is on the existing detour ramp.
• Sunpark Gate between Sun Valley Boulevard and Sunpark Plaza will close starting Sunday, April 3. Traffic will be directed to use Sunpark Drive to bypass the closure. A 4-way stop at the intersection of Sunpark Drive with Sunpark Plaza will be installed on Friday, April 1 in an effort to minimize the impact to the surrounding road network as a result of the closure.
• The dual turns from eastbound and westbound 162 Avenue S.E. to northbound and southbound Shawville Boulevard will be revised to single left turns starting Sunday April 3. An alternate access to the south end of Shawville Boulevard can be used via the southbound Macleod Trail exit ramp to 22X.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

• NEW: The left lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Shepard Road, south of Glenmore Trail from 6 a.m. Saturday, April 23 until 9 p.m. Sunday, April 24 for work related to the Glenmore Trail / Ogden Road interchange project.
• Construction continues at the Glenmore / Ogden Interchange. For information on this project, visit the Glenmore / Ogden Interchange website on Calgary.ca

Southwest

NEW: Westbound 10 Avenue S.W. is closed at 5 Street S.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, April 25. During this closure there will be various lane closures on 10 Avenue between 5 Street and 6 Street S.W. Eastbound traffic will be maintained. This closure continues until Wednesday, April 27 and accommodates utility work.

NEW: 11 Avenue S.W. is reduced to two lanes between 2 Street S.W. and 4 Street S.W. starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 21. This closure continues until 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates water services work.

NEW: 17 Avenue S.W. is completely closed between 1 Street S.W. and 2 Street S.W. beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22. This closure continues until 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 24. This closure accommodates construction.

NEW: 10 Avenue S.W. is closed between 5 Street and 6 Street S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. This closure continues until 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates utility work.

NEW: The left lane and adjacent cycle track on 12 Avenue S.W. is closed from 4 Street S.W. to 5 Street S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. During this closure, cycle track traffic will be detoured to the closed traffic lane. This closure continues until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates water services work.

NEW: The left lane and adjacent cycle track is closed on 12 Avenue S.W. at 11 Street S.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. During this closure, northbound 11 Street S.W. will also be closed at 12 Avenue S.W. and there will be no access northbound from 12 Avenue S.W. This closure continues until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 and accommodates water services work.

The cycle track is closed on 8 Street S.W. between 7 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.W. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning Monday, April 18 until Wednesday, April 27. The right lane of northbound 8 Street S.W. between 8 Avenue and 9 Avenue S.W. is also closed during this time. Cyclists and motorists are asked to share the road during this closure.

2 Street S.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction between 11 Avenue and 12 Avenue S.W. beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 15. This closure continues through 6 p.m. on Monday, April 25 and accommodates construction.

Left lane closure on 37 Street S.W. north of 41 Avenue S.W. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 18. This closure continues until 3 p.m. on Friday, April 29 and accommodates utility work.

Crowchild/Flanders Ave Interchange

• The northbound exit ramps from Crowchild Trail S.W. to Flanders Avenue S.W. are currently closed until late 2016. Motorists will be unable to access Flanders Avenue S.W. via northbound Crowchild Trail S.W. Motorists are advised to use 33 Avenue S.W. or 50 Avenue S.W. via Crowchild Trail as alternate routes.
• Caen Avenue (from the Currie Business Park entrance to Quesnay Wood Drive) is closed to allow for the utility work necessary for the Interchange construction. This stretch of Caen Avenue will be closed until late 2016. A temporary off-ramp provides access into the Currie Business Park, from Crowchild Trail South to Battleford Avenue.
• Construction work has begun on Richard Road and eastbound Flanders Avenue. Traffic on Richard Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction (north and sound bound).

Special Events

Calgary Highlanders St. Julians Memorial Parade – Saturday, April 23

Motorists should watch for Police escorting the Military parade from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the following areas:

• Eastbound 8 Avenue will be impacted from 11 Street S.W. to Macleod Trail S.E. by a police escort of military parade.

• Westbound 8 Avenue will be impacted from 11 Street S.W. to Macleod Trail S.E. by a police escort of military parade.

36th Annual Police Half Marathon and 5K/10K Walk and Run – Sunday, April 24, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

• The exit ramp from northbound Crowchild Trail to Mount Royal Gate (50 Avenue S.W.) will be closed.
• Mount Royal Gate (50 Avenue S.W.) will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Richard Road S.W. and 16 Street S.W.
• Richard Road S.W. will be closed between Mount Royal Gate (50 Avenue S.W.) and Peace Keeper Way S.W.
• 66 Avenue S.W. will have runners in the south curb lane between 37 Street S.W. and Crowchild Trail S.W.
