Northeast

NEW: Reduced lanes on eastbound Country Hills Boulevard N.E. at Barlow Trail N.E. daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, April 24. This closure occurs daily during these hours until 3 p.m. on Friday, May 5 and accommodates utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes on eastbound McKnight Boulevard N.E. at 52 Street N.E. through 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21 for construction.

Northwest

NEW: MacEwan Glen Drive N.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction east of 14 Street N.W. beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday, April 21. This closure remains in place until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 and accommodates water services utility work.

NEW: Westbound Silver Springs Boulevard N.W. is reduced to a single lane at Silvergrove Drive N.W. daily on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Friday, April 21. This closure continues daily during weekdays until 3 p.m. on Friday, April 28 and accommodates utility work.

NEW: 29 Street N.W. is reduced to a single lane in each direction south of 16 Avenue N.W. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 24. During this closure, the west sidewalk will be closed between Hospital Drive and 16 Avenue N.W. – pedestrian detour signage will indicate the pedestrian detour route. This closure accommodates deep utility work and will be in place through the end of April 2017.

Various single lane closures on 16 Avenue N.W. at 29 Street N.W. / Uxbridge Drive N.W. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 17. Pedestrian and vehicle detours will be indicated via signage. This closure is part of an intersection improvement project and is expected to continue through October 2017.

Reduced lanes on westbound 16 Avenue N.W. west of 14 Street N.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During this closure, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr. through the construction zone. This closure continues daily during these hours until 3 p.m. on Friday, April 28 and accommodates construction.

16 Ave NW / Bowfort Road Interchange Improvements

  • Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 there will be a new traffic pattern on eastbound 16 Avenue N.W. at Bowfort Road N.W. Motorists wishing to access Bowfort Road should remain in the left lane, all other traffic will be diverted under the bridge.
  • Daily lane reductions on Bowfort Road N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.

Stoney Trail/ Sarcee Trail Interchange Improvements

  • Daily lane reductions on Sarcee Trail N.W. and 16 Avenue N.W. through the project limits from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice.
  • The right lane of westbound 16 Avenue N.W. is closed at Sarcee Trail N.W. daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Thursday, March 2. This closure repeats daily on weekdays until late April 2017.

Southeast

NEW: Dartmouth Road S.E. is reduced to a single lane in each direction at 25 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 21 for traffic signals work.

NEW: 17 Avenue S.E. is closed between 33 Street and 36 Street S.E. beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 21. During this closure, traffic will be detoured via 19 Avenue S.E. This closure remains in place until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 24 and accommodates construction.

NEW: Eastbound 6 Avenue S.E. is closed at Macleod Trail S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 24. During this closure, local access will be maintained on 6 Avenue S.E. This closure remains in place until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 and accommodates utility repair work.

Southbound 3 Street S.E. is closed at 6 Avenue S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18. During this closure, local only access will be maintained on eastbound 6 Avenue S.E. at Macleod Trail S.E. There will also be reduced lanes on 6 Avenue S.E. at 3 Street S.E. This closure remains in place until 6 p.m. on Friday, April 21 and accommodates utility work.

Reduced lanes on both directions of Anderson Road S.E. between Macleod Trail S.E. and Deerfoot Trail daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, April 18. This closure occurs daily during these hours, and also from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23. This closure accommodates construction.

Northbound Ogden Road S.E. is reduced to a single lane north of 34 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 for construction.

Eastbound 17 Avenue S.E. has reduced lanes east of 19 Street S.E. daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays through 3 p.m. on Friday, May 12 for construction work.

Glenmore Trail / Ogden Interchange

  • The left lane will be closed on northbound and Southbound Barlow Trail south of Glenmore Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, April 17 until Friday, April 21 to allow for road work related to the Glenmore Trail / Ogden Road interchange project. Barlow Trail at Glenmore Trail is already part of a construction zone with a reduced speed limit of 50 km/hr. that will remain in effect 24/7 for duration of construction.
  • The Shepard Road access south of Glenmore is closed. There will be a new access created at 24 Street S.E. south of Glenmore Trail, west of the existing Shepard Road alignment. Traffic requiring to access Shepard Road south of Glenmore Trial will be detoured via the new 24 Street S.E. exit and then along 86 Avenue S.E. to reconnect with Shepard Road.

Macleod Trail / 162 Avenue construction project

  • The pedestrian bridge over Macleod Trail, south of 162 Avenue S.E. will be closed periodically on Wednesday, April 19, Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23 as crews work on overhead power lines in the vicinity. Pedestrians will be directed to use 162 Avenue S.E. and Sun Valley Boulevard to cross Macleod Trail.
  • There will be various lane closures on southbound Macleod Trail between Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard and 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, April 17 until Friday, April 21.
  • There northbound left lane will be closed early on Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard and Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 for concrete pours.
  • There will be various lane closures on northbound Macleod Trail between 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard and Shawnessy Boulevard / Midlake Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Monday, April 17 then Wednesday, April 19 until Friday, April 21.
  • The right lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Shawville Boulevard at 162 Avenue S.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Monday, April 17 until Friday, April 21
  • The left lane of the dual turn from southbound Macleod Trail to eastbound Sun Valley Boulevard will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Monday, April 17 until Friday, April 21.
  • The right lane will be closed on eastbound and westbound 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard at Macleod Trail from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Monday, April 17 until Friday, April 21. The ramps to access Macleod Trail from 162 Avenue S.E. / Sun Valley Boulevard will remain open.

Southwest

NEW: Reduced lanes on 4 Street S.W. between 8 Avenue and 10 Avenue S.W. beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 21. This closure remains in place until 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 and accommodates water service repair work.

NEW: Reduced lanes on 4 Avenue S.W. between 6 Street and 7 Street S.W. beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 and accommodates water services utility work.

NEW: Reduced lanes on 12 Avenue S.W. between 4 Street and 2 Street S.W. daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, April 24. During this closure, cycle track traffic will be diverted into the closed traffic lanes. This closure continues daily during these hours until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3 and accommodates construction.

NEW: 5 Street S.W. is reduced to a single lane between 7 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.W. from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, April 24.

NEW: Reduced lanes on 5 Street S.W. between 9 Avenue and 10 Avenue S.W. nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 23. These closures continue nightly during these hours until 5 a.m. on Friday, April 28.

NEW: 39 Street S.E. is reduced to a single lane in each direction between Memorial Drive S.E. and Fonda Way S.E. beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 24. During this closure, there will be no right turn from eastbound Memorial to 39 Street S.E., motorists will be detoured to 44 Street S.E. This closure remains in place until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 30 and accommodates construction.

Reduced lanes on 5 Street S.W. between 7 Avenue and 8 Avenue S.W. beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19. During this closure, cycle track traffic will be detoured to the closed traffic lane. This closure remains in place until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 24 and accommodates utility work.

The two right lanes of 6 Avenue S.W. are closed between 8 Street S.W. and 9 Street S.W. from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays beginning on Thursday, March 9. This closure continues daily on weekdays during these hours, and also on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. This closure accommodates utility work and continues until further notice.

17 Avenue S. reconstruction project

  • NEW: Reduced lanes on Macleod Trail S.E. between Park Road S.E. and 15 Avenue S.E. from 6 p.m. on Friday, April 21 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 23.
  • 17 Avenue S.W. is closed between Macleod Trail S.E. and 1 Street S.E. beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 17. During this closure, local business access will be maintained. This closure remains in place until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19.
