Calgary Fire Department fights mobile home fire at 6220-17Ave. SE

At approximately 4:30 this morning 9-1-1 received a call with reports of smoke and fire inside a mobile trailer home. First arriving fire crews confirmed visible flames in a single mobile trailer home and reported a working fire.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, and started a search of the residence. There were no injuries reported, the home was occupied by a single resident who self evacuated the home safely. No neighboring homes were damaged, but extensive damage was  done to the mobile home as a result of the fire.

Calgary fire investigators are on scene to determine the origin and cause of this fire. Fire crews will remain on scene for fire watch. Anybody with information, photos or video of this fire, especially before the arrival of fire crews on the scene can be emailed to piofire@calgary.ca
