Calgary Fire Department Extinguishes a Garage Fire on Deercliff Road SE

At approximately 3:15 am, the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 200 block of Deer cliff Road SE for reports of a garage fire.

Upon arrival, crews found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames. Crews immediately used hose streams to protect the house from the fire then extinguished the garage. The garage was unoccupied and the residents were accounted for inside the home. The garage was a total loss no other damage to the home and no injuries as a result of the fire to firefighters or civilians.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time as crews remain on scene to put out hot spots.
