Calgary Fire Department (CFD) responds to early morning house fire

At approximately 0530 this morning the CFD responded to reports of a house fire at the Greenwood Village Mobile Home Community. Upon arrival crews encountered a fully involved mobile home and two persons who had self-rescued. The Incident Commander quickly utilized a defensive attack to contain the fire to the house of origin. The two people who self- rescued were treated by AHS, at the same time, the occupant of the adjacent home had a non-fire related medical event who was also turned over to AHS by fire crews. Although the extreme temperatures made fighting the fire more challenging for the crew members, it had no impact on the Strategies and tactics utilized by Command. At the present time crews remain on scene dealing with hot spots. The investigation in to the cause will commence once the fire has been extinguished.
