Calgary fire crews fight two alarm fire in Marda Loop

At approximately 4:35 the morning of June 06, Calgary fire crews were called to a building fire at the 2100 block of 33 Avenue S.W. One caller to 9-1-1 reported seeing flames over 20 feet high and when fire crews arrived, the building was fully involved with fire.

A second alarm was called for additional resources and the fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire but the building of origin was destroyed. A neighbouring business sustained some smoke damage.

Calgary fire investigators are on scene to determine the origin and cause of this fire. Anybody with information, photos or video of this fire is asked to please email piofire@calgary.ca
