Accused in domestic case surrenders to police

A man wanted in connection with domestic offences is now in police custody.

Junius Omarr GOLAR, 37, of Calgary, contacted the Calgary Police Service Domestic Conflict Unit and arranged to surrender to police yesterday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident.

He is charged with two counts of assault, one count of uttering threats, and two counts of failing to comply with a court order.

Police had been concerned for GOLAR’s welfare after a domestic incident on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, because investigators believed he had sustained an injury that required medical attention. When he surrendered, he was in good condition.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the media and public for their help in safely locating GOLAR.
